Alex Allala Jr

Alex Allala Jr has over two decades of work experience. Alex currently serves as the Director of Software Development at Covius since December 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Software Engineer Manager at Kibo Commerce from June 2019 to December 2021 and at Certona from June 2017 to June 2019. Before transitioning into management roles, Alex worked at Sogeti, where they progressed from a Consultant to a Manager Consultant. Alex'sresponsibilities included full-stack software engineering, senior development, and mid-level development. Alex also gained experience as an Associate Consultant at The Rand Group LLC, where they worked on CRM customization and ASP.NET application support. Additionally, Alex worked at Neudesic as an Amerishore Consultant, handling web application development and leading a team for report migration. Earlier in their career, they served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate from 2000 to 2006.

Alex Allala Jr has a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems & Entrepreneurship, with a minor in Marketing, from the University of Houston, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Houston Community College from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Business. Additionally, Alex Allala Jr has obtained several certifications, including Agile Practitioner, SDLC, DevOps, Scrum Framework, Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3, and MCTS: .NET Framework 4, Web Applications. Alex has also completed courses on Clean Code: Writing Code for Humans, Design Patterns Library, JavaScript Design Patterns, and Structuring JavaScript Code, all from Pluralsight.
