Darren Hurd

Darren Hurd has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Darren is currently serving as the Vice President of Finance at Covius since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Corporate Controller at Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. from 2020 to 2021. In 2019, they were the Chief Financial Officer at IT Authorities, where they successfully increased professional services revenue, implemented a budgeting process, and developed cost-saving strategies. From 2010 to 2019, they held the position of Director of Accounting and Finance at The Thompson Group, where they managed system conversions, handled treasury functions, and built relationships with financial institutions. Before that, they worked as the Controller at The Thompson Group from 1999 to 2010, overseeing GAAP financial reporting and streamlining the accounting department. Earlier in their career, Darren served as a Regional Controller at Shaw Contract Flooring, where they improved financial management and reporting for three divisions. Lastly, they started their career as a Manager at Ernst & Young, LLP from 1990 to 1995.
