Koichiro Miyamoto

Koichiro Miyamoto has over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. Koichiro started their career at Muranaka Medical Instrument, Inc. in 1988, where they worked as an Engineer in the Development & Planning Department for 6 years. During this time, they were involved in developing Electric Surgical Units and performing depot repairs for imported medical devices.

In 1994, Miyamoto was promoted to Subsection Chief in the Technical Service Department at Muranaka Medical Instrument, Inc., and they held this position for 6 years until 2000.

In 2000, Miyamoto joined Medrad as the Technical Service Manager. Koichiro was responsible for the technical service operation in Japan and established the Japan technical service organization for direct service. Koichiro also launched the Multi-Vendor Business and successfully realized reimbursement for Injectors maintenance through lobbying activities.

Since 2013, Miyamoto has been working as the Chief Operating Officer of COVUE Japan. COVUE is a global technical service company that supports medical device manufacturers. Miyamoto is responsible for providing a portfolio of technical services to clients, including research & development, engineering & prototyping, manufacturing, product assembly, and after-sales product support.

Koichiro Miyamoto attended Doshisha University from 1983 to 1988, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This degree corresponds to the Japanese title of 工学修士 (Master of Engineering).
