Douglas Jacobs

Douglas Jacobs is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in media and entertainment law. Currently a Partner at Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard LLP since January 2015, Jacobs has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University School of Law during the latter part of 2014 and in subsequent spring semesters from 2015 to 2017. Previously, Jacobs held significant positions at A+E Television Networks, rising to EVP & General Counsel after serving as EVP & Senior Counsel and SVP & General Counsel. Prior experience includes serving as EVP & General Counsel at Court TV, Vice President at CBS Sports, and Deputy General Counsel at CBS Inc. Jacobs began a legal career as Assistant Regional Administrator at the Securities & Exchange Commission - NY Regional Office. Jacobs earned a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law.
