Andy Sloan

Andy Sloan currently serves as Managing Director & Senior Vice President at COWI, a position held since February 2020, and previously held the role of Executive Director at the same organization from 2014 to 2019, overseeing a large team focused on tunnelling projects in the UK and Southeast Asia. With a robust engineering background, Andy's career includes significant leadership positions at Donaldson Associates Ltd from 1999 to 2015, where efforts were concentrated on transforming a small firm into a capable SME for major tunnelling ventures. Earlier experiences include roles as Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Fairhurst and Geotechnical Engineer at Golder Associates UK Ltd, where diverse global projects, including work in Ghana, were undertaken. Andy holds an MSc in Engineering Geology from the University of Leeds and a degree in Geology from the University of Edinburgh.
