Rasmus Dilling began their work experience in 1990 as an Attorney-at-law and Advokat og advokatfuldmægtig at Valdal Law / Valdal Advokatfirma. Rasmus then worked as a Phd researcher at the European University Institute from 1995 to 2000. Following that, they joined COWI in 2000 as a Legal Advisor and Senior Consultant until 2013. From 2013 to 2015, Rasmus worked at the European Environment Agency as a Project Manager in various roles. Rasmus returned to COWI in 2015 as the Chief Market Manager and Chief Specialist responsible for EU and International Law & Governance. Currently, they hold the position of Legal Director - Strategic Procurement, Law & Governance - Global Advisory at COWI.

Rasmus Dilling has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in EU and International Law from the European University Institute. Rasmus also has a diploma in the Academy of European Law from the same institute. Additionally, they have completed studies in US Politics & Governance, Public Management, with a focus on International Relations, US Constitutional Law, and US Environmental Law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Rasmus Dilling has earned a Master's Degree in EU and International law, environmental law, and insolvency law from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Furthermore, they have been admitted to the Danish Bar / Advokatbeskikkelse by The Danish Bar and Law Society.
