Eduardo Sousa is an accomplished environmental and Indigenous rights advocate with extensive experience in conservation, community organizing, and environmental planning. Currently serving as a School Board Trustee for School District No 79 and a Referrals Coordinator for Cowichan Tribes, Eduardo also operates as an Environmental Consultant with Caminho Do Meio Consulting, teaching on Indigenous Protected Areas. Previous roles include serving as an Advisor for the Indigenous Leadership Initiative, a Senior Campaigner at Greenpeace, and Projects Director for the Iisaak Olam Foundation, focusing on Indigenous-led conservation initiatives. Eduardo's extensive background also features project management positions, including a significant role with the City of Toronto as an Environmental Planner, and founding the Taddle Creek Watershed Initiative. Eduardo holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies from York University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto.
