Dewayne Searcy

DeWayne Searcy is an experienced executive with a robust background in accounting and operations. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer at Cowin Equipment Company, Inc. since January 2016, Searcy has also held significant academic roles at Auburn University from August 2005 to December 2015, including Director of the School of Accountancy and various faculty positions. Prior academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Miami from August 2002 to July 2005. Searcy's early career includes a diverse range of roles in public accounting and private industries from 1990 to 1998. Searcy earned a PhD in Accounting/Logistics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as well as a Master's and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
