Barath Karunakaran

Barath Karunakaran has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Barath started their career as an Intern at Tata Consultancy Services in 2012, where they gained experience in bioinformatics and sequence alignment.

After their internship, Barath joined Agora Analytics in 2012 as a Member of Technical Staff. Here, they were involved in two projects: Recruiter's Delight, focused on automating the recruiting process, and Vendor Forecast, which involved analyzing forecast data in the SCM (Supply Chain Management) domain.

In 2015, Barath joined Cleartrip.com as a Software Engineer, where they worked on various software development projects. Barath was later promoted to the role of Senior Software Engineer and continued their tenure until 2017.

Next, Barath joined Goomo in 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the development of software solutions.

In 2018, they transitioned to Standard Chartered Bank as a Technical Specialist, where they utilized their technical expertise.

Currently, Barath is working at COWRKS. Barath started as an SDE 3 in 2019 and worked on automating member onboarding flow and developing the social platform in the Cowrks App. Barath was later promoted to the position of Engineering Manager in 2021 and is now serving as a Senior Engineering Manager.

Throughout their career, Barath has demonstrated their versatility and expertise in various technical roles and has proven their ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility.

Barath Karunakaran completed their education in a chronological order. Barath started their educational journey in 1997 and completed their Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) from Jubilee School in 2004. After that, they pursued their Pre University Course (PUC) at BHS First Grade College from 2004 to 2006. Following that, they attended CMR Institute of Management Studies from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained their Bachelor of Computer Application degree in the field of Computer Engineering. Later on, they furthered their education and enrolled in New Horizon College of Engineering from 2009 to 2012, earning a Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A) degree with a specialization in Computer Engineering.

In terms of additional certifications, in August 2014, Barath Karunakaran obtained the Oracle Certified Java Programmer (OCJP) certification from Oracle.
