George Cave

George Cave currently serves as Principal Architect for Data Center Network Engineering at Cox Communications, where the focus is on the strategic direction and design of the Data Center Network and Security Infrastructure. With over 20 years of experience in IT architecture, George has held various roles, including Lead Automation Engineer and Lead OpenStack Systems Engineer at Cox Communications, Senior Enterprise IT Architect and IT Security Architect as an Independent Consultant, and Cloud and Virtualization Lead Architect at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Previous positions include Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Verizon and multiple roles at Verizon Wireless, where George was instrumental in designing network solutions and improving network management strategies. George holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Boston University.
