Peter Fontaine is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in environmental law. As a Shareholder and Chair of the Environmental Practice at Cozen O'Connor since 2002, Peter Fontaine manages a team focused on addressing pollution liabilities and securing environmental permits for major energy and infrastructure projects. Previously, as a Co-founder and Principal of Granite Wind Energy LLC, Peter Fontaine played a key role in developing wind power initiatives in New Hampshire. With a solid foundation in environmental law from positions at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP, Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, and Cohen Shapiro Polisher Shiekman & Cohen, along with experience as an Attorney-Advisor at the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Peter Fontaine has cultivated a robust career dedicated to environmental advocacy and regulatory compliance. Peter Fontaine earned a JD in Environmental Law from The George Washington University Law School and a BA in History/English from the University of New Hampshire.
