Colette Sharbaugh has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Colette is currently employed as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at CPA.com since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Corporate Communications & Public Relations at CPA.com starting from December 2020.
From 2014 to 2020, Colette worked at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. Colette served as the Senior Manager - Integrated Communications and Public Relations, leading a team of three and overseeing the development of multi-channel marketing and communication programs. During their tenure, they successfully executed an omni-channel campaign that drove significant website visitors and generated new leads.
Before joining the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, Colette worked at SPARKS Consulting Group as a Partner and Senior Director from 2013 to 2014. In this role, they were responsible for managing the agency, supervising a team, and developing tailored public relations strategies for clients that resulted in coverage in prominent publications and media outlets.
Colette's previous experience includes working as a Public Relations Manager at Give Kids The World, a nonprofit organization, from 2011 to 2013. Colette also served as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations at Accessory Network from 2007 to 2010, where they executed strategic marketing and public relations initiatives, leading to increased media placements.
Additionally, Colette has held various marketing and coordination roles at OMEGA Watches - Swatch Group US, Glashutte Original - Swatch Group, and Blaser Swisslube earlier in their career.
Colette Sharbaugh has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from the Philip Merrill School of Journalism at the University of Maryland. Colette also completed a Mini MBA program in Digital Marketing at Rutgers University in 2018. Colette attended Montgomery High School for their secondary education. Colette also participated in a Semester Abroad program at the University of Sydney, focusing on Australian Studies. In addition to their formal education, Colette obtained a certification in Storytelling for Influence from NovoEd in January 2017.
