Alain van Hout

Alain Van Hout is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Directeur informatique at the Centre Public d'Action Sociale de Charleroi since November 2022, overseeing the largest public social services organization in Wallonia with over 2,500 employees. Previously, Alain held the position of Développeur orienté IA at Carmeuse for a brief period in 2022, after managing the IT department at Tibi Intercommunale de gestion intégrée des déchets from April 2009 to September 2021. In that role, Alain developed strategic objectives and oversaw project executions. Alain's extensive background also includes serving as Responsable technique and Responsable stocks et informatique at Alphom Distribution, where responsibilities included technical support and inventory management. Alain holds a Licence in Gestion Informatique from Université de Namur and a Graduat in Technique Électronique et Informatique industrielle from Institut supérieur de MOT-COUVREUR / ITME Bruxelles. Additionally, Alain is pursuing certification as an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer in information security.
