Brendan Sowry

Brendan Sowry is a seasoned professional with over 40 years of experience in the Defence sector, government, and industry. Currently serving as General Manager - Defence at CPB Contractors since February 2019, Brendan previously held key positions including Head of New Opportunities for the Defence Business Unit at Lendlease, where significant contributions were made to major projects including stakeholder management and security design management. Brendan's expertise extends to providing management consulting services through Benerton Pty Ltd, primarily aiding businesses in collaborating with government for infrastructure development in the Defence, transport, and education sectors. Additional roles include Stakeholder Manager at Abigroup for a major Defence project, Managing Director of Growing Media Queensland, and various managerial positions with Brisbane City Council and the Australian Army. Brendan has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil from UNSW, a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from the Australian Army Command and Staff College, and completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
