Robert Thompson

Robert Thompson is an experienced WHS professional with a robust background in health and safety management across multiple large-scale construction projects. Currently serving as WHS Director at CPB Contractors since January 2016, Robert has led health and safety initiatives for significant projects like the Sydney Metro West Eastern Tunnelling Package and previously held roles as Safety and Health Manager within JHCPBG Joint Venture. Prior to CPB Contractors, Robert worked at Thiess for over a decade, where responsibilities included developing and implementing WHS systems for various projects, including the Hunter Expressway Alliance and the Coopernook to Herons Creek Alliance. Robert's lengthy career also includes roles at WorkSafe Tasmania as North West Regional Manager and early engineering positions in civil engineering. Robert holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Tasmania.
