Janneke Pieters is currently serving as Programmaleider Arbeid at Centraal Planbureau since February 2024. Janneke has been an Associate Professor at Wageningen University & Research since January 2014, following a role as Assistant Professor. Additionally, Janneke is a Research Fellow at the IZA - Institute of Labor Economics since September 2011, where involvement includes contributions as a Research Associate and Deputy Program Director focusing on Growth and Labor Markets in Low-Income Countries. Janneke's consultancy experience includes significant projects with The World Bank, UNU-WIDER, and the European Commission, addressing labor market issues and employment challenges in developing countries. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Groningen and an MPhil in Research Master in International Economics and Business, cum laude, from the same institution.
