Amir Sokolowski serves as the Global Director for Climate Change at CDP since May 2021, after previously holding the position of Associate Director in the same field. Sokolowski has extensive experience in climate governance and policy, having worked as a Legal Advisor for UNFCCC negotiations with IIED for Least Developed Countries from June 2017 to November 2022 and as a self-employed consultant prior to that. A Senior Legal Analyst at Legal Atlas from January 2015 to November 2020, Sokolowski led research on climate change and protected areas and coordinated partnerships among various organizations. Additional roles include serving as a Legal and Policy Advisor at Climate Law and Policy and leading a research team at OxLWOB. Sokolowski holds an MPhil in Geography and the Environment from the University of Oxford and an LLB from Tel Aviv University, complemented by studies in History and Humanities.
