Frederik Buchholz is a seasoned professional in environmental policy, currently serving as the Senior Global Policy Officer for Forests at CDP since June 2022. Prior to this, Frederik held the position of Global Policy Officer for Forests at the European Forest Institute, where research focused on EU sustainable agricultural supply chain policies. Experience includes a consulting role at FAO, a Master Student position at Wageningen University & Research emphasizing Environmental Policy and Economics, and a trainee role researching EU public policies for the sustainable transformation of soft-commodity supply chains at the European Forest Institute. Prior internships and assistant positions covered various aspects of forest conservation and sustainability, including responsibilities at the Bundesministerium für Umwelt and GIZ. Frederik holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University & Research and a Bachelor of Science in International Forest Ecosystem Management from Fachhochschule Eberswalde.
