Gustavo Uemura, MSc has a diverse and extensive work experience in supply chain and procurement. Gustavo started their career as a Logistics Specialist at Kaiser/Coca Cola Company in 1997 and was responsible for planning and controlling physical distribution resources. Gustavo then joined Philips Lighting Europe in 1999, where they held various roles including Supply Chain and Client Services Manager, Procurement Manager, and Procurement and Supply Chain Manager. During their time at Philips, they successfully implemented several initiatives such as implementing S&OP, restructuring the procurement and logistics teams, and managing the change of vendor base. In 2008, they moved to Dell as a Procurement Director, leading a supply team and managing a complex Brazilian and international supply base. Gustavo also led negotiations with contract manufacturers to meet Brazilian regulations. From 2012 to 2017, Gustavo worked at Johnson Controls as a Supply Chain & Procurement Director, where they optimized manufacturing and supply operations in Brazil, generated significant financial improvements, and led the construction of a new plant. Currently, they are working as the Director of Supply Chain & CPO at CPFL Energia.

Gustavo Uemura holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, which they completed from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they participated in an exchange program at Columbia Business School, studying Business Administration, Management, and Operations, until 2005.
