Jaap Strik

Jaap Strik has an extensive work experience in the engineering and design field. Jaap is currently working as a Senior Principal Engineer at CPG Corporation since 2022. Prior to that, Jaap worked as a Design Manager at Freelance from 2019 to 2022, where they were responsible for developing engineering plans and design processes for timely project execution. Before that, they worked at Royal HaskoningDHV from 2013 to 2019, where they held various roles including Design Manager, Lead Engineer Civil Structural and Design Principle, and Senior Structural Engineer. In these roles, they managed projects, provided technical leadership, and delivered structural engineering solutions. Earlier in their career, Jaap worked as a Senior Structural Engineer at DHV B.V. from 2005 to 2013. Jaap also had research experience at TNO, where they conducted a graduation study and research project on fatigue and aluminium, as well as an internship on greenhouse design in a microgravity environment.

Jaap Strik completed a course in Machine Learning at Stanford University School of Engineering in 2021. In the same year, they also took a course in Value Investing at Rowan Nijboer Investments, focusing on Investments and Securities. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2005, they pursued a Master's degree in Structural Designing at the faculty of Architecture, Building, and Planning at Eindhoven University of Technology.
