Anita Simmons

Anita Simmons has over 25 years of work experience in human resources. Anita is currently serving as the Chief Human Resource Officer at CPG since July 2021. Prior to this, Anita held the role of Vice President of Human Resources & Organizational Development at AAMVA from September 2011 to July 2021. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing and managing a wide range of strategic HR operations and programs. Anita also has experience as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Lee Technologies from June 2005 to September 2011, where they managed HR operations and programs and worked closely with executive leadership to develop HR policies and procedures. Before that, Anita worked as an HR Consultant at IBS from May 2004 to June 2005, where they managed outsourced HR accounts and handled various HR functions. Anita also served as the Director of Human Resources at Lumenos from June 2000 to August 2003, where they played a key role in the company's growth and development of HR functions. Anita's earlier experiences include Director of HR at VarsityBooks from July 1999 to June 2000, Group HR Director at ROW/Federal Data Corp from January 1997 to July 1999, and Senior Technical Recruiter at RCI from June 1996 to January 1997. Throughout their career, Anita has demonstrated expertise in employment law, recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.

Anita Simmons pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland from 1984 to 1988. Later, they continued their education at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they obtained a Masters degree in Business with a specialization in Human Resources from 1990 to 1997.
