Elizabeth Coyner

Executive Director at CPM EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

Elizabeth Coyner has over 30 years of work experience in the education field. Elizabeth began their career as a Teacher of Mathematics and Science at East Nicolaus High School in 1987, where they taught for six years. From 1990 to 1992, they also served as a Fellow at the Northern California Mathematic Project (NCMP). In 1993, Coyner joined Bear River School in the Wheatland School District as a Teacher of Mathematics, working with 7th and 8th-grade students. Elizabeth focused on integrating mathematics, English, and electives and served on the district mathematics committee. Coyner remained at Bear River School for ten years before transitioning to Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento in 2001. At Christian Brothers, they continued their role as a Teacher of Mathematics until 2014. In February 2014, Coyner became the Executive Director of the CPM Educational Program and is currently in this role.

Elizabeth Coyner obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree from Ventura College between 1981 and 1983. Following this, they pursued a B.A. and a Secondary Teaching Credential from California State University, Fresno, completing their education in 1986.
