Heather Sauder

Associate Principal at CPP Wind

Heather Sauder is the Associate Principal at CPP Wind. Heather has a long history of working in the renewable energy field, starting as an intern at SAIC in 2012. Heather then worked as a Fellow at the National Science Foundation East Asia Pacific Summer Institute in 2015. After that, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at Iowa State University, working in the Wind Simulation and Testing (WiST) Lab. Her current PhD research focuses on wind turbine blade aeroelasticity through wind tunnel tests of section models and aeroelastic models.

Heather Sauder earned a PhD in Engineering Mechanics & Wind Energy Science, Engineering and Policy (WESEP) from Iowa State University. Heather also holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming and a BS in Physics and Spanish from Furman University.
