Rivael Strobel Penze

Rivael Strobel Penze, PhD, is an experienced optical communications and sensors engineer at CPqD, with a focus on research and project coordination in the electric and oil and gas sectors over a 20-year career. Rivael has led and participated in various projects related to optical networks, including GPON, Stacking PON, TWDM-PON, and WDM-PON, as well as fiber optic sensors for applications such as smart grids and distributed sensing. Rivael has authored over 10 scientific articles and has held previous roles as a telecommunication engineer at Finatel/Nortel Networks. Rivael's educational background includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas and further qualifications in electrical instrumentation and coaching and mentoring.
