Harmen van Rossum

Harmen van Rossum has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2021, they co-founded Cradle Bio. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2021, van Rossum worked at DSM as a Researcher and Tech Lead. Harmen also gained significant experience at Zymergen, Inc. where they held roles as Scientist III, Scientist II, and Scientist I from 2016 to 2019. Before that, they worked as a PhD researcher at TU Delft from 2011 to 2015. From 2008 to 2014, van Rossum was the owner of Vaccae. Harmen began their academic journey at Universiteit Utrecht, where they were a Master student in Biomolecular Sciences and a Bachelor student in Chemistry from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked as a web developer at AdamsYoung from 2006 to 2008.

Harmen van Rossum has an impressive education history that spans several years. Harmen began their academic journey in 1999 at CSG Prins Mauritsschool, where they completed their VWO degree with a focus on N+G and N+T in 2005. Harmen'spassion for scientific studies led him to enroll at Utrecht University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry from 2005 to 2010. Building upon their undergraduate studies, Harmen then pursued a Master of Sciences (with honors) in Biomolecular Sciences at Utrecht University from 2009 to 2011. Throughout their educational journey, Harmen demonstrated a strong commitment to their studies and an enduring curiosity for the sciences.
