Craft In America
Jen Ruppmann is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in programming and project management within the broadcasting industry. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Craft In America since August 2023, Jen is involved in the national initiative HANDWORK: Celebrating American Craft 2026, which highlights the significance of handmade crafts in American culture. Prior to this role, Jen worked as a Programming Consultant for PBS, supporting various programming initiatives and previously held multiple positions at the Public Broadcasting Service from 2008 to 2019, including Associate Director of General Audience Programming & Development. Jen’s programming expertise includes managing scripted portfolios, directing editorial for co-productions, and pioneering PBS's first SVOD channel. Jen's career also began with a role as an Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist at The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. Jen holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University and further educational experiences at New York University and The American University of Paris.

We are dedicated to the exploration, preservation and celebration of craft, the work of the hand, and their impact on our nation’s cultural heritage. Craft is all around us, giving pleasure as well as serving a function. It is inspirational as well as useful. It is the best representation of who we are as a culture.
