Jon Howard

Fractional CMO at Craft Sportswear North America

Jon Howard's work experience includes various roles and positions in the marketing and outdoor industries.

Jon is currently a Member of CMOx - The Fractional Chief Marketing Officer Company, where they participate in an accelerator and consortium that supports Fractional CMOS.

In 2023, they founded and became President of joho & co., a company that focuses on bringing modern marketing strategies to brands and businesses in the outdoor, action, and lifestyle industries.

From 2015 to the present, Jon served as the Director of Marketing and Ecommerce at Craft Sportswear North America. Jon was part of the Senior Management Team and reported directly to the CEO, overseeing various aspects such as Ecommerce, Wholesale/B2B marketing, and brand partnerships.

Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Marketing/Consultant at super.natural Europe GmbH from 2014 to 2015. Jon was responsible for creating and amplifying the brand's voice and providing strategic visions.

From 2013 to 2014, Jon was a Sales and Marketing Specialist/Consultant for Bern Unlimited. Jon developed and executed international sales and marketing strategies in the ski/snowboard and bike industries.

Before that, they had significant experience working at Height of Land Publications, where they held various roles from 2003 to 2013. Jon started as a Sales Manager/Partner and later became a Publisher/Partner. During their tenure, they focused on growing sales, developing the brand, and expanding revenue diversification through sustainable partnerships. Jon also led the company through two acquisitions.

In 1999, Jon was the Director/Captain of First Light Sea Adventures, where they managed and operated three sailing vessels in Cape Cod.

Lastly, from 1997 to 2003, they worked as a Professional Ski Patroller at Smugglers' Notch Resort. Jon handled multi-patient scenarios and ensured the safety of resort guests.

Overall, Jon Howard has demonstrated expertise in marketing, sales, brand development, and leadership roles in the outdoor and marketing industries.

Jon Howard obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Recreation Management from the University of Vermont, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. In addition, they obtained a certification as a 50 Ton U.S. Coast Guard Master Mariner with an Aux Sail Endorsement in Near Coastal Waters from the United States Coast Guard in June 1999.
