Purnima Wagle

Purnima Wagle is a business transformation executive with 25+ years of global corporate leadership experience in medium to large multi-national companies spanning across multiple industries like Oil and Gas, High Tech, Automotive, Manufacturing and Supply Chain. She is a visionary with a thorough understanding of business and technology, proven ability to build & execute strategic roadmaps. She has successfully led enterprise-wide business transformations by building a culture for continuous improvement focused on people, process, technology and data.

Purnima was the CIO and Digital Transformation leader for DCP Midstream, a Fortune 500 energy company. She led the comprehensive digital vision and strategy for DCP including digital upskilling for the workforce. She accelerated digital transformation to drive innovation, increase operational excellence, enhance customer experience and enable the workforce of today. She led all digital technology organizations within DCP: IT, OT, data and analytics, cyber security, automation security, enterprise services, robotic process automation, and digital product development.

Purnima set up DCP Tech Ventures to build an ecosystem of partners for furthering innovation and accelerating digital transformation. She introduced LEAN tools and practices to DCP.

She was honored with the 2021 Colorado CIO of the Year ORBIE Award for Large Enterprise, 2020 Top Women in Energy as recognized by Denver Business Journal (DBJ), and was instrumental in DCP being recognized as a 2020 Global Lighthouse for deploying 4IR technologies at scale by the World Economic Forum.

Purnima has served on the board of Colorado Technology Association (CTA) since 2018. She is an avid supporter of CTA and major events like Women in Technology. She is also a co-chair for the Denver CIO Inner circle by Evanta, a Gartner company.

Prior to joining DCP, Purnima was a Silicon Valley executive at Flex, a $26B Global Fortune 500 electronics manufacturing services and supply chain logistics company. She was Vice President, Business Transformation, Global Procurement and Supply Chain at Flex. She collaborated across lines of business to influence operations with an annual spend of approximately $20B. Her impact improved the competitive position and functional excellence for Flex.

She was awarded the 2016 World Procurement Leader Awards for Risk Mitigation and the 2015 ISM Richter Award for “Transformation of the Organization.”

She served as Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors in the ISM Supply Chain Risk Management Group.

Purnima holds MBA with honors from St. Mary’s College of California, USA and a Master of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Bombay, India. She was selected to attend Executive Education programs at Stanford University, UC Berkeley and MIT CTL to further the transformation goals for the company.
