Nancy Ryan has extensive experience in journalism and editing, currently serving as a copy editor for Crain’s Chicago Business since February 2016 and as a freelance copy editor for Modern Healthcare. In addition, Nancy holds the role of Regional Editor for Crain National, producing personalized newsletters across multiple U.S. cities. Since June 2018, Nancy has been an Editor and Writer for the University of Chicago, creating profiles for various academic divisions and copy editing a commemorative book for Lincoln Park Zoo. Prior to these roles, Nancy held a variety of positions at the Chicago Tribune Media Group from 1987 to 2014, including Assistant Bureau Chief and Metro Reporter, and began a career as a News Reporter at United Press International. Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
