Cassie Walker Burke

Cassie Walker Burke is an experienced journalism professional currently serving as the assistant managing editor at Crain's Chicago Business since April 2014. Previously, Cassie held the position of executive editor at Chicago Magazine from 2012 to 2014 and served as a senior editor at Chicago Magazine from 2002 to 2011. In addition to editorial roles, Cassie contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University and DePaul University from 2008 to 2011. Early career experience includes reporting and writing for LaGrange Daily News from 1999 to 2001. Cassie holds a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in French from Auburn University.
