Catey Sullivan

Catey Sullivan is an accomplished arts writer and theater critic with extensive experience in various prestigious publications. Since February 1993, Sullivan has been with Shaw Communications as an arts writer. Additional roles include arts writer at Crain's Chicago Business since January 2012, theater critic at the Chicago Reader since November 2018, and theater critic at the Chicago Sun-Times since July 2016. Sullivan has also contributed as a theater critic for Pioneer Press Newspapers and Windy City Times Newspapers/Lamba Publications since the early 2000s, and served as a theater writer for Chicago Magazine from January 2009 to November 2018. A contributor for Meredith Corporation from 2004 to 2015, Sullivan focused on writing and researching feature stories on travel, dining, and culture. Sullivan holds an M.F.A. in English with a specialization in fiction writing from the University of Illinois Chicago, earned between 1990 and 1992.
