Christopher Schotten is an experienced Mathematics Teacher currently at Cranbrook Educational Community since July 2018 and at Hamtramck High School since September 2015, in addition to teaching at West Mecklenburg High School since August 2012. Christopher began the teaching career as a Corps member with Teach For America in January 2012. Prior to the teaching roles, Christopher held various positions in student leadership, including Vice-Chairperson for Finance & Operations and Chairman of the Student Assembly at Michigan State University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory and Economics from Michigan State University. Early work experience includes food service, landscaping, and legal internships.
