Rafael Rodriguez Covarrubias

Rafael Rodriguez Covarrubias is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in embedded software engineering and technical leadership. Currently serving as the Embedded Software Engineering Team Leader and Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Crane Payment Innovations since June 2013, Rafael specializes in software development for Mei Embedded Cashless and Telemetry Solutions on Embedded Linux platforms. Prior experience includes technical leadership roles at Dextra Technologies, where support and troubleshooting for the Texas Instruments OMAP4 platform were provided, as well as experience developing audio plugins for the Omap3 platform. Other significant roles include Controls Engineer at GE Energy, focusing on electric diagram review and installation support, and Service Engineer at Wabtec Service Center, where Rafael designed and implemented automated testing processes. Rafael holds a Doctorate and a Master's in Applied Science from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, along with an Engineering degree in Electronics from Instituto Tecnologico de San Luis Potosi.
