Georg Traar

Georg Traar is currently the Head of Customer Engineering at Crate.io. Prior to this, they were with MCP GmbH from September 2018 to April 2020 where they were the Teamlead Development. In this role, they were responsible for the development team, custom advanced production planning and scheduling solutions, advanced algorithm development, and scrum master. Georg was also with Fraunhofer Austria Research from October 2016 to August 2018 as a researcher in business unit production and logistics management. During their time there, they worked on numerous projects in the area of Industrial IoT, digitalisation, production planning, and process optimisation. Georg's first professional role was with iSi Group from February 2016 to September 2016 as a supply chain manager. In this role, they were responsible for engineering change management, coordination of global production facilities and supply chain, participation in timetabling to determine optimal conversion dates, minimising the costs of special trips and scrapping, and new customer projects. As the supply chain manager, they were also the central point of contact for logistics for our customers and production sites during the project phase.

Georg Traar has a Dipl. Ing (eq. Master of Science) in Industrial Management and Business Administration from Montanuniversität Leoben, a field in Computational Intelligence (Master Informatik) from Technische Universität Wien, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Logistics from Montanuniversität Leoben. Georg also has certification from SAP in SAP Certified Application Associate - Business Foundation & Integration with SAP ERP 6.07.

They are on a team with and Marie Luise - Software Engineer. Their manager is Philipp Hammerer, VP, Engineering.
