Amir Elaguizy

Co-Founder & CEO at Cratejoy

Amir Elaguizy has a long and varied work experience. Amir began their career as the Founder of Fifth Street Software in 2005. In 2006, they became the Co-Founder and CTO of MarketZero, Inc., where they were responsible for architecting, building and maintaining a 40+TB umbrella database using commodity hardware and MySQL/InnoDB with real time storage and retrieval. In 2011, MarketZero was acquired by Zynga, Inc., where they were promoted to the role of Game CTO for the Bingo Flash game in Austin. Amir also built the first real time multiplayer mobile HTML5 game at Zynga - the Poker HTML5 mobile game. In 2013, they Co-Founded and became the CEO of Cratejoy. In 2020, they took on the role of Head of Strategy at Overmoon. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Cofounder and CEO of Fun Country.

Amir Elaguizy attended Y Combinator in 2013 and is currently enrolled at the University of Iowa. Amir also holds a Data Manipulation at Scale: Systems and Algorithms certification from Coursera Course Certificates obtained in August 2016.
