Heikki Salo

Heikki Salo is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in cloud security, red teaming, and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Security Engineer at Crayon since November 2022, Heikki focuses on enhancing cloud security. Previously held senior roles at Nixu Corporation, contributing as a Senior Security Specialist and Security Specialist, leading source code audits and DevSecOps initiatives. As a Technical Specialist at JYVSECTEC, Heikki led red team activities for cybersecurity exercises. Additional experience includes security coaching and software development at Tieto, where notable contributions were made to healthcare security initiatives. Heikki's career began as a software designer at the University of Jyväskylä and includes a research assistant role in collaboration with Finnish research institutions. Heikki holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Information Technology from the University of Jyväskylä.
