Stefanie Winston Rinehart joined CRD Associates in 2018. Her primary focus is on Medicare reimbursement and policy, as well as appropriations and legislative work.
Stefanie has experience working on federal policy addressing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including authorizing legislation, appropriations bills, and policy implementation. She has experience working with several federal agencies including the FDA, CDC, CMS, NIH and HRSA.
She previously worked at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for four years, where her work focused on advocating for the availability of quality healthcare services, as well as reimbursement for healthcare providers. While at the Academy, she advocated Capitol Hill for improved reimbursement for nutrition services in Medicare and Older Americans Act programs, as well as for strong investments in public health programs. She worked with CMS on coverage and reimbursement for medical nutrition therapy, as well as the implementation of the Medicare Diabetes Prevention Program. She also worked with CMS and Capitol Hill to increase utilization of diabetes self-management programs. Prior to the Academy, Stefanie analyzed state and federal health legislation and provided technical assistance to federal grantees at the MayaTech Corporation in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Stefanie received a joint Juris Doctor and Masters in Public Health from Emory University School of Law and Rollins School of Public Health. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with her Bachelor in Arts, majoring in Classics and French.
