Michele Phillips-Richardson

Michele Phillips-Richardson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fashion industry. Michele started their career at Kenneth Cole Productions as a Designer for Knits and Sweaters from 2001 to 2005. Michele then worked at Nyne as a Designer for Knits and Sweaters from 2005 to 2007. Michele gained experience at Ralph Lauren as a Designer for Knits in various labels, including Purple Label, Black Label, and Polo Blue Label, in 2007. Michele continued their career at Calvin Klein as a Senior Designer for Sweaters, where they were responsible for design and development, market research, line presentations, and overseeing production from 2007 to 2010. Michele then joined Saks Fifth Avenue as a Senior Design and Development professional from 2010 to 2016. In 2011, they founded Magna-Solutions, a Mens and Womens apparel brand, where they handled all aspects of the business, including product development, marketing, supply chain management, and sales, leading to over $1.5 million in net sales within the first year. Currently, they are serving as the VP of Design/Development and Production at Creare Group LLC since 2017, leading product sourcing, design strategy, and production for 50 US brands. Michele also works on developing sustainable product opportunities and building cohesive garment assortments.

Michele Phillips-Richardson completed a degree in Digital Business Strategy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2020. Prior to that, they pursued Fashion/Apparel Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, but no specific degree was mentioned.
