Mattheus Percy Ueckermann began their work experience in 2005 as a Product Design Assistant at Algonquin Automotive, where they were responsible for 3D surface and solid modeling and experimental testing of new product fasteners. Mattheus Percy then moved on to Ansys-CFX in the same year, working as an Engineering Support Assistant. Here, they created CAD models, developed complex meshes, and used Computational Fluid Dynamics software to analyze fluid flow. In 2007, Ueckermann started working as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, where they conducted research on fire behavior and performed CFD simulations. Mattheus Percy also worked at M.I.T. as a Research Assistant, focusing on coastal ocean modeling methods and algorithm development. Since 2013, they have been an Engineer at Creare.

Mattheus Percy Ueckermann began their education at the University of Waterloo in 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mattheus Percy completed their undergraduate studies in 2007.

Following this, Ueckermann joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2007 to further their education. Mattheus Percy earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, completing their studies in 2009.

Ueckermann continued their academic journey at MIT, specializing in the field of Mechanical, Computational, and Ocean Engineering. Mattheus Percy pursued a doctoral degree and successfully obtained their Ph.D. in 2013.
