Troy Casey

Troy Casey is an experienced professional with a strong background in managing and directing initiatives that emphasize social impact and Indigenous culture. As Managing Director at Blaklash since January 2018, and Director at Magpie Goose since March 2021, Troy plays a crucial role in advocating for Aboriginal artists and creating ethically produced clothing that tells significant cultural stories. In addition to chairing the Aboriginal Art Co, a not-for-profit organization connecting ethical buyers to authentic Aboriginal art, Troy contributes to the Australia Council for the Arts as a First Nations Arts and Culture Strategy Panel Member. Previous experience includes membership in the Indigenous Innovation Alliance Steering Committee at CSIRO and roles at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, among others. Troy holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Queensland University of Technology, alongside various certifications in project management and governance.
