Peter van Rij

Peter van Rij is an experienced data engineer and business intelligence consultant. Peter has worked for various companies in both permanent and interim roles.

In 2009, Peter started their career at T-Mobile as a Database Marketeer, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining marketing databases and data warehouse systems. Peter also played a key role in selecting new data mining technologies and analyzing customer and prospect behavior.

After their time at T-Mobile, Peter worked as a Database Marketeer at Cendris, where they translated marketing requirements into technical data solutions and established a robust database marketing environment.

Peter then joined iBOOD.com as a Database Marketing Analyst, where they developed B2B strategies and conducted market and brand research.

In 2013, Peter moved to Nederlandse Energie Maatschappij (NLE) and took on multiple roles, including DevOps/Data Engineer/Database Marketeer and Marketing Data Analyst/Database Marketeer/Management Reporting. At NLE, they were involved in data migration, setting up Amazon Web Services environments, and developing fact-based marketing campaigns.

Peter continued their career as a Business Intelligence Consultant and Data Engineer at Nuts Groep B.V., where they consulted on the design and build of ETL for the BI department's datalayer, assisted with IT migration, and ensured business continuity.

From 2019 to 2021, Peter worked at Pricewise as a Product Owner/Techlead BI/Solutions Architect and BI Consultant/Datawarehouse Engineer. Peter played a crucial role in BI cloud migration and was responsible for building a futureproof datawarehouse relational model.

Peter then joined Otrium as a Business Intelligence Consultant/Data Engineer, where they worked on various projects until 2022.

In 2022, Peter joined Creative Clicks as a Business Intelligence Solutions Architect, where they designed a datawarehouse model to improve the efficiency of analysts and scientists, enabling them to allocate more time to building reports and models.

Currently, Peter is working as a Data Engineer on an interim basis at Enexis Groep. Peter'smain responsibilities include data engineering tasks to support the company's data operations.
