Philippe van Wijnen

Philippe van Wijnen has extensive work experience in the field of privacy and data protection. Philippe is currently working as the Corporate Privacy Officer at Alliander since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Protection Officer at Creative Clicks from May 2019, and at GITP from December 2019.

Before their roles as Data Protection Officer, Philippe was the Business Owner & Legal Counsel at HFLegal, providing legal consultancy services to corporate boards and business management. Philippe also served as the Global Privacy Counsel at Cognizant from March 2021 to March 2022, and as an IT lawyer a.i. at Sligro Food Group from September 2020 to February 2021, and at Albert Heijn from March 2019 to October 2019.

Philippe has also held roles as the Director IT law a.i. at Ahold Delhaize from October 2018 to March 2019, and as a Privacy lawyer a.i. at Allianz Worldwide Partners from June 2018 to October 2018, and at Autoriteit Financiële Markten from March 2018 to June 2018. Throughout their career, Philippe has worked with various clients including Cognizant Technology Solutions, Sligro Food Group, War Child, AutoBinck, GITP, Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize, Albert Heijn, Creative Clicks, Allianz Worldwide Partners, Autoriteit Financiële Markten, Mn Services, Tata Steel, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Philippe van Wijnen obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in commercial law and intellectual and industrial property from the University of Amsterdam, which they attended from 1988 to 1997. After completing their degree, they pursued a Dutch bar graduation from 1998 to 2001. Philippe also holds additional certifications, including being a Qualified Lawyer from the Nederlandse orde van advocaten since May 2001 and a Certified Information Privacy Professional - Europe (CIPP/E) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals, which they obtained in December 2019.
