Amber Osman is an accomplished professional in the field of scholarly publishing and open science. Currently serving as an Associate Editor and Ambassador at the Directory of Open Access Journals since April 2022 and Crossref since April 2023, respectively, Amber also co-founded XploreOpen in January 2023. Additionally, Amber actively contributes as Co-Chair of the Global Perspectives Taskforce and as a member of the Education Committee for the Society for Scholarly Publishing since July 2019. Involvement extends to FORCE11 as a member of the Research Data Publishing Ethics group and COPE Committee on Publication Ethics as an Associate Member. Active participation in Creative Commons and its Global Network further emphasizes commitment to open access initiatives. Previous experience includes serving as a Content Subject Matter Expert in Open Science for NASA and holding the position of Senior Manager for Research Development at IQRA University. Amber holds an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor's in Computer Sciences from Iqra University, complemented by early education in computer sciences from The City School.
