Maura Hoyson

Maura Hoyson, M.Ed, currently serves as the Special Education Coordinator at Creative Minds International Public Charter School since June 2018. Previously, Maura held the position of Adjunct Faculty for Special Education at Johns Hopkins University School of Education from June 2019 to June 2020, instructing graduate courses on specialized instruction, IEP design, behavior management, and formal assessment. Prior roles at Ivymount Corporation included Program Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and Special Education Teacher, where Maura taught middle and high school special education. Maura began a career in education as an English as a Foreign Language Teacher at CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange from August 2013 to June 2014. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from George Mason University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Teaching from the University of Kentucky.
