External Assessor at Creative Scotland

Alan Thomas Dibble is an experienced design professional with a robust background in the fashion and creative industries. Currently serving as an External Assessor for Creative Scotland since October 2023, Alan also holds directorial positions at DESIGN ADVICE BUREAU and Green Thomas Limited, where the focus is on providing business advice to creative brands and designing luxury accessories, respectively. As a part-time lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art, Alan shares expertise in fashion business startups and critical analysis with aspiring fashion professionals. Previously, Alan directed the Fashion Foundry, a business incubator for fashion designers, and held notable design roles at Fruit of the Loom Europe, Riva-Tex in Taiwan, Topshop Topman, and the Country Road Group. Alan holds a BA HONS in Design Textiles from The Glasgow School of Art and a Master's Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from the University of the Arts London.
