Shawna Khorasani has a diverse work experience in the entertainment industry. Shawna began their career as a Production Assistant at Transgress Studios, where they took on various responsibilities such as capturing behind the scenes photography, overseeing craft services, and assisting the producer and director with tasks related to principal photography.
Following their time at Transgress Studios, Shawna worked as a Sound Mixer at Pictoclik. Shawna then joined Barnes & Noble as a Head Cashier, where they gained experience in customer service and cash handling.
Shawna's passion for filmmaking led their to pursue freelance opportunities, where they worked as a Writer/Director and collaborated on projects as a freelancer. Shawna also served as an Assistant Director on an independent production.
To further expand their knowledge and skills, Shawna took on roles at Lesflicks as an Editor/Reviewer and at Books Inc. as a Bookseller. These experiences allowed their to develop their writing and analytical skills, as well as their knowledge of literature.
Most recently, Shawna has been working at CreaTV San Jose, initially starting as an Administrative Assistant and later transitioning to the role of Facility Engagement Specialist. In these positions, they have demonstrated their strong organizational and administrative abilities.
Additionally, Shawna has also been involved in the film festival scene, serving as a Script Reader for the Big Apple Film Festival and as a Director's Assistant for the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival.

Shawna Khorasani obtained their Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from San Francisco State University from the years 2013 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications from Hollywood Gatekeepers. In December 2022, they received certification in the Screenreader System. Following this, in January 2023, they obtained the "Getting the Gig" certification. Finally, in April 2023, they achieved the "Coverage Corner" certification.

CreaTV San Jose
CreaTV San Jose, a nonprofit community media center, fulfills its mission, to inspire, educate and connect San Jose communities, using media to foster civic engagement, by providing the training, tools and platforms that allow diverse, and often underserved, communities to tell their stories and express their views through digital media. Since 2008, CreaTV has aired more than 30,000 community videos in eight languages, helped hundreds of non-profits tell their stories and build capacity, and served more than 20,000 youth through our MAP grant to San Jose schools and partnerships with Adobe Youth Voices, Silicon Valley Creates, Xilinx Educational Ecosystem and Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force. CreaTV manages four public and education channels for the City of San Jose. Community 15, Classrooms 28 (pre-K through grade 12) and Silicon Valley 30 are viewable in 150,000 Comcast Cable households in San Jose and parts of Campbell. Bay Voice 27 (College), is a regional channel viewable in 450,000 Comcast Cable households in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
