Matt R.

Matt R. has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Matt started their career as a System Technician at Affiliated Computer Services in 2002. Matt then worked as an Information Technology Support Analyst at Brigham Young University from 2005 to 2008. After that, they took on roles at Simplifile, starting as a Support Manager from 2008 to 2011, then transitioning to QA Lead - Security and APIs from 2011 to 2016, and finally serving as an Information Security Analyst from 2016 to 2019. Following this, they joined Solano County as an Information Security Principal from 2019 to 2020, leading various security projects and audits. Matt then moved to SimpleNexus, where they held multiple roles including Security Architect, Acting IT Director, and Director of Information Security. Matt'sresponsibilities at SimpleNexus included establishing security teams, implementing security tools, providing training, and rebuilding IT functionality. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Information Security at Credible.

Matt R. holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University. Matt also obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Systems Security from the University of the Cumberlands.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Matt R. has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2009, they earned the A+ certification from CompTIA. In 2013, they became a Certified Tester Foundation Level through the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board. In 2018, they obtained the Security+ CE certification from CompTIA.

In 2020, Matt R. achieved two certifications: the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA and the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA.

More recently, in 2022, Matt R. obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², as well as the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
