George Thimont

George Thimont is an experienced finance professional specializing in debt syndication and capital markets. Currently serving as the Head of APAC Debt Syndicate and APAC ESG Syndicate at Crédit Agricole CIB since October 2018, George also holds previous leadership roles in ESG Syndicate and SSA Syndicate within the same organization. Prior to this, George worked at Mizuho from July 2014 to October 2018, focusing on SSA, EM, and FIG debt primary markets, and held positions at Crédit Agricole CIB and UBS Investment Bank, where responsibilities included SSA origination and debt syndication, respectively. George earned a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree from the University of Cambridge between 2003 and 2007.
