Vishal Ravindra

Vishal Ravindra is a highly experienced data scientist and engineer currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist at Credit Karma since July 2024. In this role, Vishal focuses on developing machine learning models and utilizing data science and AI to enhance Credit Karma's telematics platform, aiming to assist good drivers in securing discounts on auto insurance and promoting safer driving practices. Prior to Credit Karma, Vishal worked at Zendrive from October 2017 to July 2024 as a Principal Data Scientist, where responsibilities included guiding teams in the creation of telematics products for evaluating driver behavior and detecting incidents. Vishal's career also encompasses a role as Lead Engineer at GE Global Research, leading projects in sensor fusion and machine learning, and previous positions at CSIR - National Aerospace Laboratories and Chalmers University of Technology. Vishal holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, an MS from the University of Colorado Denver, and a BE from PES College of Engineering.
