Emma Steele is an accomplished investment professional with extensive experience in venture capital and social impact investing. Currently serving as a Partner and Investment Director at Ascension since January 2018, Emma has been instrumental in investing in over 90 UK seed tech businesses through various funds aimed at addressing social issues such as poverty and childhood obesity. In addition to roles at Ascension, Emma operates as an Investor at Happl and serves as Investment Director and Investment Manager for Fair By Design, focusing on eradicating the Poverty Premium in the UK. Emma's expertise also extends to being an Investment Committee Member for UnLtd and holding positions with multiple startups as a pre-seed or seed investor. Emma's academic background includes a BSc in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Warwick and an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Sussex.
